  • OneIndia News reports on the recent Comic Con that ran for the first time in Bangalore, India. It sounds like a great success with around 30,000 attendees and photos pulled from their Facebook page suggests they've picked up many cues from U.S.-style cons.
  • The Webcomic Overlook pulls out another edition of Know Thy History, this time focusing on Lee Falk's Mandrake the Magician.
  • Ken Quartto continues his look at the history of 3-D comics, this time by way of a long transcript of a 1953 conversation among Joe Kubert, Bill Gaines and Al Feldstein. I haven't read through all this yet, but between the date of the conversation and the people involved, I can't imagine this NOT being fascinating.
  • Neil Cohn points us to this lecture "by psychologist Barbara Tversky about the understanding of events, spatial cognition, and comics." Her comics references start not quite half-way through, and she speaks to differences in the implementation of action across various cultures.
