Michael D. Hamersky just posted
this interview with Allen Bellman. And unless you're a rare and historied individual, you're probably saying, "Who's Allen Bellman?" Bellman penciled and inked a number of Marvel (then Timely) comics back in the 1940s and '50s. That includes around three dozen issues of
Captain America Comics, over two dozen
Marvel Mystery Comics, a dozen or so
Young Allies and an assortment of other titles like
Blonde Phantom,
The Human Torch,
Sub-Mariner Comics,
Venus,
All-Winners Comics,
Blackstone the Magician and
Miss America Magazine. Bellman, who will turn 86 on Saturday, maintains a complete listing of his work on
his own site.
