On Strips: This Week

I suspect this applies to a lot of people any more, but I feel like I've had a week's worth of insane news by Tuesday. So here's a fun game I'm going to try today. Using political cartoons, let's look back (in no particular order, because who can keep track any more?!?) and remember what happened THIS WEEK...
These aren't necessarily the best or most poignant political cartoons, mind you, just ones that help detail what's happened in the U.S. over the past seven days. (Yeah, just the U.S. -- I couldn't even begin to get into world issues at this point!) The fact that you don't understand at least several of these without trying to look up something about them is just how crazy things are any more. You're not delusional if you think it's just you.

I don't know if I'll do this again on my blog, but it's an interesting exercise at a personal level if you want to quickly remind yourself just how much is going on these days. Just scan through the political cartoons. There's so much happening that cartoonists aren't all touching on the same topics, much less using the same jokes/metaphors, so there is plenty to choose from!

I think this could be worth doing again. It is a good snapshot of the times.
