  • Australian-based comic artist Mel Tregonning passed away in recent days, evidently taking her own life. If you're unfamiliar with Tregonning's work, Gestalt is making her story "Night" available for free in her memory. I didn't know Tregonning or her work prior to this morning, but when a young and obviously talented artist cuts short their own life, I think it bears more than a moment's reflection. Best wishes to her family and loved ones.
  • Mark Strauss digs out some comics from the Middle Ages, and finds they had more than their share of super-powered heroes and villains.
  • Joseph Hewitt of the webcomic Ataraxia Theatre has launched an Indiegogo campaign for his upcoming print anthology, Alien Lives.
