Maybe it's just me, but I find this kind of stuff fascinating. How they show the cultural and social impact of comics over the course of American history.

That kid in the McCay photo is apparently his child! I used this image in How Comics Are Made. They have some great images of peopel reading comics in there, for sure.
I did not realize that was McCay's boy! Even better!
