Cap's had a select number of girlfriends I can count on one hand, most significantly and longest lastly being Sharon Carter.

What character has one true steady political view besides Green Arrow? Most characters don't come right out and say they are left or right or that gay marriage isn't cool or that abortion is bad. If anything, I'd argue Cap is more subjected to the writer's political agenda than most other characters in comics (which is sucky, IMO but happens often).

Not that I was there, but based on what I've read, people were dying to sign up to kick some Nazis butt. It was like the day after 9/11, only on crack and for years, rather than weeks. People weren't bitter about their government back then. Nixon hadn't lied yet. The USA wasn't "faceless" and it was worth risking your life for. I don't see how being willing to risk your life for your country by exposing yourself to bullets and bombs (and most likely dying because you're scrawny and sickly) is any different than being willing to risk your life by subjecting yourself to an experiment that your country (that you love) says might help to change the face of the war.

I've always equated the SSF to the American Dream, in the sense that he was given an opportunity and the made the most of it. If I were injected with the SSF? I'd be the strongest, fittest guy on the planet who sits around eating Doritos and watching re-runs of House.Kaiser The Greathttp://www.kaiserthegreat.com/noreply@blogger.com
